Splashing about in the Darwen

This is Charlie Dog this morning in the river Darwen by. Haughton. I've always loved the way he creates arks of splash as his tail expresses his joy of being in water. I've just about caught it in this shot.

When he comes out he shakes, starting with his head and shoulders and finishing with a flick of the tip of his tail. Then he runs back in. He's an eleven year old puppy.

We're back home. He's asleep and dreaming. Muscles twitching and eyes flickering. Perhaps he's back in the water.
