Picky, picky, picky...

I'm determined to try and practise the uke every day. I'm much better when I practise regularly. Also, I have to master at least one instrument in my possession!
Last week, we told my class that they're going to be learning the guitar next year. One of them asked if they could use plectrums. I said no, I didn't think so (I'm not teaching the lessons.)
"But you use one, Miss,"
"And that's why I'm saying no. You'll find it much easier to go from strumming with your fingers to using a pick than the other way round."
Take it from one who knows...
I have a whole mad variety of plectrums, felt, fat, thin, pointy, pleather, plastic. And really only use the first one I ever bought!
