"On Sunday"

George's Sunday bears no relation to any real Sunday.

George's Sunday is the day when he gets to have exactly what he wants, visit the places he wants to go, and see whoever he wants to see. His stock response to any minor refusal or disappointment is to ask if it'll happen on Sunday. Tell him we're not going to the park, for example, and he'll almost always say, "on Sunday, can we?"

I always wondered why Sunday had taken on such a huge significance for him. And then I worked it out: he means "some day."
