Terrific tiles

The Shah-i-Zinda in Samarkand contains some of the most amazing tilework in the Muslim world. It is simply awe-inspiring.

This was about 3 days into our Uzbekistan trip and we were still wandering around in disbelief that we were somewhere that we'd wanted to visit for so long. It's a fantastic place.
