swimmer.

This is a harmless water snake. I was mowing pasture near my pond when we met. I was enchanted with his graceful movement and had to stop, get the Blip-gun and shoot away.

It's amazing the way wildlife of all type ignore or remain indifferent when you approach on a tractor or especially, a horse. This fellow was perturbed but not frightened (as he would have been if I were afoot). If afoot, he would have ducked under, swam 20 feet underwater and surfaced among weeds, never to be enjoyed for his water skill.
