Christmas Survival Kit

I was honoured to be the recipient of one of these today - all held together in a beautiful round bauble, decorated with sparkling ribbon.

Opening it up, spilled out the contents - in some ways random (but pretty). Hidden inside was a wee scroll. This is what it said:

Jewels - to remind you to sparkle!
Humbugs - for the tough times (and mistletoe moments?)
Paperclips - to remind you to hold it together!
Plasters - to fix things...
Starburst - for a burst of energy and extra sparkle when it's needed!
Hot chocolate - to relax and warm you up on wintry evenings...
Googly eyes - as a reminder that you never know who is watching (Santa!)
Stars - to remind you that you are one!

I reckon this pressie is heading to somewhere near the top of the all-time faves list already. Thoughtful, personal and made me smile from ear to ear. Thank you Lx

When I was uploading this entry on the (very fab) new site tonight, it struck me that Joe and team could probably have used this kind of kit to survive The Great Reconstruction. They've done a mighty fine job without - but it might have reduced the stress a little! Well done all - this long time member is part of the happy tribe of travellers to the new digital land! x
