Cloudy Lipe

Koh Lipe is a really nice little island. It's clearly had rapid development over the last few years and even recent online guides are fairly out-of-date. A 7-Eleven and multiple ATMs have popped up and there's an impressive number of good restaurants along Walking Street, a road linking two of the three main beaches on the island. It takes less than 10 minutes from one end to the end - the island really is tiny!

The beaches are nice but not fantastic, mainly due to the number of long-tail boats in the water. It's a very scenic area though and the main activity is exploring the surrounding islands and snorkelling in the crystal-clear waters. Unfortunately the weather isn't doing justice to the natural beauty and it's been quite grey with a few patches of rain. Poor me, right?!
