Times Of My Life

A good picture today; a bunch of Speech Therapy staff (therapists and my office colleague, Julie) wearing their Christmas jumpers.

Julie and I put together a Christmas lunch buffet today, which included a competition for the 'Most Christmassy SLT staff member'.  The young lady on the right, , with the cream sweater and Christmas hat, was the winner.  She scooped a pair of red and green striped socks, with bells on!

The young lady with the pale blue sweater, in the middle of the front row, was runner up and her prize was a bag of chocolate coins.  We also had a (sur)prize draw for a white chocolate snowman, which was won by the person making the draw - to her mortification!

I suppose I am very lucky; although our job is much more stressful than it used to be, and there is never any 'down time', at least we have a really good bunch of people to work with.  It is unusual to find so many women working together where there is not at least one 'bitch'.

Of course there are times where we can rub each other up the wrong way, but like in a family we get over it, and wouldn't stand for anyone else criticising any of us.

Happy Christmas ladies, I hope you all enjoy your break - you certainly all deserve it.
