Our "village"

Our village isn't really a village, but it isn't a suburb either. It's just a little place near Munich. I don't think the concept as such exists in Britain. It has posh shops, normal shops, supermarkets (but no hypermarkets), two churches, a big library, three restaurants... I know people say everything is too well-ordered in Germany, and I certainly have lived in many other coutries, so I appreciate that there are many other ways to organize things, but for the time being this suits me fine.
