Fast food

Obviously out of focus but I think this blip captures the sense of speed and urgency with which this starling chick was being fed this afternoon by a very tolerant parent. Both parents feed their young, which surprised me, and are obviously doing a good job in this case as the chick is quite plump. The chick was clearly able to fly so I guess the parent feeds it so that it doesn't get attacked by other starlings?

I also like the bemused expression of the chick observing its parent's 'fat face' from the coconut shell feeder.
