Preparing the stage

Yesterday my mother was buried. She had chosen the minister that she wanted who was brilliant. He took a lovely little service, even telling a tale of him and Mum that had everyone laughing round the graveside. The undertaker said that in all his 60 years in the job he'd never experienced a minister as good. She'd have been really pleased!
A few of us went back to my brother's house for a buffet which ended the event well. As she wished, there will be a Thanksgiving Service In January taken by the same excellent minister.

On the way home I popped into Shrewsbury and in The Square they were setting up the stage for Radio Shropshire's "Carols in the Square" broadcast which always attracts huge crowds. I didn't stay for it though, The day had been full enough!
