Templeton Carpet Factory

What was Templeton's carpet mill at Glasgow Green. A fantastic building, at least from the outside. It was built in 1888 and was modelled on the Doge's palace in Venice. they truly don't make them like that any more.

It has reminded me of the Billy Connolly sketch about the demise of the linoleum industry, so I've been giggling to myself all day. Classic line "I'm sorry, sir, we don't sell Romans here."
