A strange tree

This very strange tree is in the entrance to our village pub. In the summer it is covered in thick big leaves and the children live to climb over and in it. Dont know what it is but without leaves I am not sure any of you will know!

Still amazed that it looks like I can use my Nexus camera on the new site. However we are at a wedding tomorrow so I promise I will use my proper camera.
