Complicated

Who knew buying a shower tray was so complicated? This is only part of the vast chart - there are square and quarter circle to consider and then a whole world of other materials.

Today was the predetermined day for me to buy DVD shelving at Ikea. Mr B can't go there, but is somewhat torn as the next door supermarket is the only place we know in France that sells his preferred coffee. The compromise is that I go. So, Ikea, coffee, beige grout for tiles. Not an inspiring list. Late almost additions of shower trays and enclosures and 90mm nails for the hired nail gun added spice to the expedition.

What did not add anything other than delay and rushing was the unexplained 40 minutes crawling along the motorway in first gear. On the way home it took 25 minutes to travel about 300 metres through our local town. Up against a deadline to get TallGirl to the hairdresser, I was stressed and then felt bad when I finally got to crawl past the car that had crashed onto the pavement.

The haircut went better than might be expected - but is not nearly short enough for my liking.

Having walked about 150 miles today with heavy Christmas presents on board, I am being spoilt with cheese and sausage. Must dash.
