Mr Blackbird

My foraging in the Autumn included windfall apples from wherever they appeared to be unwanted. Any sufficiently unblemished have been stored as my father used to store his apples, wrapped in newspaper in a cool place. Although this is not a large stockpile there are still enough to throw one or two into the garden for the blackbirds, which make a welcome change from pigeons and magpies.
