"ON A CLEAR DAY "

Took Phoebe out for a walk this morning and the weather was perfect.  It wasn't cold, no rain and the wind wasn't too 'mad'.

This was taken from the Beacon Field looking out towards Wales.  You can see a ship of some kind on the Bristol Channel.  The coast line is about 12 miles from here so "on a clear day" we can see Wales quite clearly.

When you consider to travel to Wales you have to travel up the M5 for about 70 miles, cross over the bridge paying a toll, and then travel another 20 or so miles to see the area we are looking at!!

Had our office Christmas lunch today  which I organized, where we meet up with three other small organisations  to celebrate the year we have had.  The food was OKish, always find organized Christmas food is never up to par, and although we have been here twice before, was a bit disappointed with the quality.  I expect they have a different chef!!!

But it was good to see old faces and say farewells, as I am unlikely to see them next year.

After that I returned to my 'world' and cleaned the house etc.

So glad it's Friday with a lie in tomorrow and start wrapping pressies up tomorrow before Matthew comes home on Monday.
