Selsdon

Last day of school today - and with children finishing early at the college Sam and I took the opportunity to leave after lunch to travel to visit my parents for the weekend.  

Anticipating dreadful traffic  - the news predicted the worst travelling day of the year - we nevertheless made good time and were just coming through Selsdon - my old stomping ground - as it got dark.  Sam remembers it as the place with lots of Christmas lights - and it is indeed lovely and compared to a village Christmas lighting  strategy - fantastic. 

However, I reckon we do rather well individually in Linton and the spectacle in Lonsdale is always worth a visit.

Lovely evening out with my Uni friend Jo  and am looking forward to more socialising tomorrow.
