An odd day in the Borders

Travelling north from Yorkshire we hit rapidly changing westerly weather on the A68. Short periods of sun were followed by longer periods of snow or rain showers. Stopped to try to work out if this view, rather uninviting, was of the Eildon Hills (Trimontium to the Romans) at some distance. Made up for the weather at the House of Soutra Coffee Shop, where they produced the best Chocolate Brownie in the northern hemisphere. The succulent almost ganache centre deserves two or three small chews at the most (per bite, of course), followed by rolling the taste around the mouth for several immoderate seconds. Aaah!
