Horse: Wintersong

Tonight we saw two stars in ascendency! The fabulous Horse performed some of her classics and included new songs from her forthcoming album, plus some festive songs. The evening also included performances by Chris Judge, Libby McArthur and Tom Urie (Tom what a great version of McCartney's Blackbird). It was a great set by Horse, even in adversity (cold/asthma). She has a warmth and charisma that other artists can only dream of. Who needs the X Factor?

The other star of the evening was The Mackintosh Church, a new concert venue in the making. The lighting design was absolutely stunning; creating a winter wonderland that enhanced this beautiful building and added to the intimate setting.

Mackintosh designed like a poet using traditional forms as a canvas for new ideas. Horse created a palette of beautiful sounds that painted pictures that brought everything to life.
