Just a parrot's life

Daddy

Monday we (me and my two sisters) had an appointment with the specialist who is treating my dad. An operation was necessary to remove the big bleeding in dad's brain. Than he had to be transported to the Erasmus Hospital in Rotterdam and he of course needs anesthesia and they than need to make holes in his skul! We didn't agree with this. Dad is very very weak and this operation will be way too much for him. After the operation he needs rehabilitation for months! Before ánd after our app with the doctors we also asked dad and he also didn't want this operation! To make a long story short... he is going to a hospice.
But there is a virus on that department (probably noro virus!!) so he has to be free from this for about 48 hours before he can be transported to the hospice.

Today when I visited dad I again had to "dress up" because of that virus and when I walked in dad's room I heard him groaning and he was laying totally to the right with his head on the iron part of the bed and with his arm stuck. So awful!! Nurse came in asap to help him out of this terrible pose. Because of that stupid virus his door has to be almost closed and that is probably the reason that they see less how dad is doing. But who knows how long he was stuck this way??? It hurts soooo much. I really hope he can go to the hospice coming Monday pffffff.
Asked dad if he slept a bit last night and he immediately started to cry, also when I said good bye. I really hope for him that God will take him soon....... At the moment I hate Christmas time.
