Hebridean Skies

This a heavily cropped image looking down over the Isle of Lewis towards the hills in Harris. I was taken reference photos for a landscape that Seonaid has been commissioned to paint in oils. I had the client next to me saying that she wanted to appear how it would have been in her childhood some 50 years ago. You can do that with a paint brush. I suppose it could be done in Photoshop. But this image won't win any prizes or indeed be a valued print. It's a reference. Quick and dirty. I even dragged my exiled kit lens out - it's about as sharp as a rugby ball but it is an 18mm wide angle. Dramatic sky which deserved more time and care in its capture
