Surprise Christmas Gift

One of the young girls in the church made this for me at school as a Christmas gift. She brought it carefully wrapped but said I had to open it right away so she could explain it to me. Clay shaped into petals, painted a vibrant red and fired before attaching the wooden stem - it's beautifully made and was made with me in mind because she knows I like history and she knows I lead the Remembrance Service.
