Red in the Royal Square - December Challenge

We popped into town just before lunch, taking advantage of free parking and the last Christmas Sunday opening. It was a lot busier than two weeks ago, but then it wasn't wet, just cold and overcast.
This is taken in the Royal Square from the steps of the old library,  showing The Peirson Pub in the corner with the red awnings. You can also see some of the Horse Chestnuts that caused controversy 120 years ago, mentioned in this rather interesting article.
