Winter solstice-Scotland

For those of you who are have never experienced  a dreich day in Scotland and wondered what it looks like this is it: rain, low cloud and sparse daylight.

In normal circumstances I would never photograph a day like this  but as this is the winter solstice and we have been asked to record the light on the shortest day of the year I thought I would give it a try.

So I did- from indoors- with the Christmas candles reflected in the window.
