Double memorial

This is a memorial plaque on a large bench on the outskirts of the town next-door to Castle Town. Look closely at the white blobs in the text, which in places is obliterated. The blobs are bullet marks, left when three men were summarily executed in October 1944 for resisting the Nazi regime that was occupying the Netherlands. Among those spraying their victims with bullets was a collaborator, a policeman.
