An Artist's Life

Solstice 2014

Old Sol blows a hole in the clouds to try and chase the rain and snow away. The 20 degree angle isn't enough to warm us, but to remind us that the ground will be fallow for months to come. It's necessary to help feed the wildlife we've displaced in our lust for their sweet land. In these warming years, more birds stay....there are windrows planted for their shelter. The Tundra Swans have arrived and sleep in new ponds all about. The valley has become a welcome haven with more lands given over to conservation and refuge. We try to live side by side with our furred and feathered friends. We are good neighbors.
