During the final week of term we had many conversations in the office about whether or not we were feeling 'Christmassy'. General consensus was that watching certain movies or wrapping presents to particular music were all enjoyable seasonal activities but none triggered more than fleeting festive feelings.

Well, after a full day at home, many a 'welcome back/it's been so long/it's good to see you hug' and a lovely evening at the candlelit carol service I am finally full of Christmas cheer. It was such a blessing to have little catch ups with so many special people during the course of the day, I can even forgive the "so when exactly do you finish?" questions!

I'm looking forward to a few restful days, taking an opportunity to reflect back on the past year and think on the fullness of the Christmas story.
