Wenufoye

Wenufoye is one of the five Mapuche flags, specifically the flag of the Chilean Mapuches, but is also commonly seen in parts of Argentine Patagonia. It is a mapudungun word and translates into English as “The Heaven's Cinnamon". The colors and forms of the flag are highly symbolic. Yellow for the sun (and renewal);  Blue for life, order, wealth and the universe; White for cleansing, healing, longevity, wisdom and prosperity; Red for strength and power; Green for the earth or nature, wisdom, fertility and healing power. In the centre of the flag is the Kultrun, a Mapuche drum, on which are drawn the four cardinal points together with the sun, moon and stars. Apologies to the Mapuche peoples for this oversimplification.
