Life is like a river

Christmas shopping

My younger son, Kári, is 18 and since last August he's had a part-time-job in a supermarket at the local mall, Glerártorg.  Christmas vacation started last Friday and he's been working long hours every day since then, just like my older son, Dagur, who's working for Pósturinn/The Post Office.  At the post office they've been dealing with bad weather, snow and closed roads during this busy season for sending Christmas-cards and presents.
After work we went shopping for a few things, stopped by to see my grandmother and give her Christmas-presents and then we went to a restaurant for dinner, as has become our tradition on Þorláksmessa.
The Christmas-tree was decorated late in the evening after we had picked Dagur up from work and had cocoa and smákökur/cookies with my parents.
