hope fulfilled

The amaryllis bulb that I buy every year in support of, and as a symbol of hope for, a cure for Huntington's Disease is in bloom, against all odds!
The bulb arrived frozen and bruised, in fact you can see a scar on the stem at the base of the bloom, but it overcame that setback and is thriving.
Now that is a picture of hope!
