..junior painted this the year he left for Cairns (so he was six at the time) as he wanted me to always have a Christmas tree on the wall!

Now he is back for Christmas (aged eight) and we have a proper glittery tree, presents and poor old Santa is getting a 'healthy' treat left for him.
There is talk of vegetables (ironic as junior is allergic to greens) and milk.
A far cry from shortbread and a tot of something alcoholic.
