O Rose Thou Art

Gorgeous autumn day, my favourite time of year!

I had a lunchtime seminar to attend, which made the perfect excuse to get out of the office and meander slowly to the National Library. Being Canberra, being me, I got hopelessly lost and ended up at the wrong end of the lake.

Good move, as I had my camera with me and got some great pics. It was a toss up between this and some cockatoos in the leaves, but I can't resist an allusion to Blake.

There was in fact a worm (more likely caterpillar) curled up asleep inside another rose, but I prefered the decay on offer here...
