Holes in the roof

Last night, when I went to lock the back door, I discovered the conservatory away with rainwater! It puzzled me. Today, when A investigated (while I read a book!) we discovered that the freak hailstorm a few days ago (half-inch hail) has perforated a huge number of holes in the roof of our sun parlour. A lot of places were damaged, car-window smashed etc. We mobilised an all-family operation (good team-building for Christmas eve!) and patched about 2/3 of the holes before the rain came on again. Ho ho ho!
