Christmas rose

The old rose bush has no leaves left on it at this end of the year but it has produced this small bloom for us, a small patch of colour in an otherwise dull garden. A touch of joy for Christmas.

I have just watched the Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols from King's College Chapel, Cambridge. Glorious music!
