Rainy View from MoMA

An awful day, with intermittent rain (though it was quite warm).  We arrived early enough at the Museum of Modern Art to get easily into the fascinating exhibition of Matisse cut-outs, from the last years of his life. The sprawling show is a major event for MoMA, given its history with Matisse.

The blip is from MoMA's 5th floor, looking north across 54th Street.  Definitely a cubist feel to it, I think.  As often, we lingered in front of Picasso's "Demoiselles d'Avignon" (1907), unquestionably the most important single painting of the 20th century.
