Histon Village Green.

Histon Village was well established by 1066 and retains much of it's ancient heritage. Flint tools have been found and there is evidence of Roman and Iron Age settlement. Fed by 13km of watercourses, the Brook widens at the Green, where there are thatched cottages, a pump and of course ducks. I sat on a bench in the sunshine and had my lunch, a sausage roll, hot from the bakers oven and a takeaway coffee. Idyllic.
