Boxing Day Daffodils

After being indoors for most of yesterday it was good to get out for a walk around Godshill Village even though it was dull and cold.

The quaint village full of thatched cottages is a tourist trap in Summer and best avoided but at this time of year it is peaceful and a pleasure to wander around.

On the road up to the church I was amazed to see a group of daffodils had put in an appearance weeks ahead of their normal flowering time.
