Life through the lens...

Reflections

It is a Pudsey Ramblers tradition, to meet on Boxing Day morning at Fountains Abbey.
After coffee and mince pies, we gather with about 1000 other people to join in the carol service held in the Abbey solarium.
This follows the Pilgrimage from Ripon Catherdral to the abbey by The Dean and Chapter of Ripon Cathedral and about 100 followers.
After the service we did the usual walk through the deer park, stopping for a picnic lunch on the way.
A rather dull day, which wasn't good for taking photos.
This one of the reflections in the Studley Royal Water Garden was the best.
It was lovely to get out in the fresh air, and stretch our legs after all the food and drink consumed yesterday!
Much better than going to the Boxing Day Sales!!
Oh and I had a very fleeting moment of fame, on Look North.
They filmed the event, and as we were three rows back, just caught a very quick glimpse of me! MrC was hidden behind a red bobble cap!
I hope you have all had a very Boxing Day too!
