'By Snowy Night'

The Metheringham war memorial takes the form of a soldier wearing cap with head bowed, in mourning pose with rifle reversed, surmounting rectangular pedestal. The soldier wears cap badge of Lincolnshire Regiment. The cornice of the pedestal is decorated with a carved frieze including a depiction of cap and rifle. The memorial was unveiled by the on 12th December 1920. There are 42 names for World War 1 and 8 for World War 2.
