The Carol Singers and the White Tree.

One Christmas time when my daughter H was a little girl something had really upset me. Gofer took her up to town with him shopping and they came back with the pretty glittery white tree for the cake. The carol singers are similar to a set Gofer’s Mum always put on their cake that were one of the first cake decorations available after the war but being plaster gradually disintegrated with time. We were delighted when we found these though they are plastic and don't have the same character as the original ones.

The cake rarely gets cut on Christmas Day as we are too stuffed from dinner pudding and mince pies.
