I think I'm right in saying......

Yeh, I think I'm right in saying that this is Fagus riversii pendula. Or tp those that prefer common names, a Weeping Copper Beech. Well I know it is a weeping copper beech because I planted it in my garden. It is thge botanic name that I am less sure about. Fagus is Beech. riversii is the name of an upright copper form and pendula describes it weeping habit. Of course it could be cuprea which also designates a copper form.

Well anyway, less rant, I hear you say. The leaves as you can see are just opening. Interestingly they are much more green when young but as the leaves mature so they turn a darker copper.
