Wild Huckleberries

Why the title?  Well, this is a hidden gem of an area in the Skagit Valley, a favorite dog walking spot for us, and that's Crest Island in the distance, where we have hiked in the past.  There are wild huckleberry bushes aplenty covering the island, and since it is not an easy walk and thus not often visited, it's the ideal wild huckleberry picking spot.  I missed the season this year but vow to pick enough next time for several pies to last throughout the winter.
