Bridal Veil Falls

Here at Blackheath, the Govetts Leap Brook plunges some 520 feet into the Grose Valley. The falls themselves are historically known as Govetts Leap ("Leap" reputedly a Scottish term for "waterfall") although in more recent times some marketing hack thought to rename them the Bridal Veil Falls - evidently so as not to confuse them with the other 27 so named waterfalls around Australia (sigh). Anyway there's been a useful amount of rain lately and the flow seems fairly full right now. The actual volume of water is still not huge however and the prevailing wind blows the stream about quite eccentrically.
