Miranda's Meanders

Tirta Gangga and getting to Sanur.

Going out of our way to save money on transport as usual, we worked out that by far the cheapest option for getting to somewhere near the airport, would be to hire a motorbike in Amed; drive to Sanur with one of our rucksacks; hire a second bike there; drive back to Amed; drop off the first bike and return to Sanur with the second rucksack. Thankfully, we were saved this epic 8-hour mission by a kindly gentleman who let us pay in for cheap on a taxi he was taking there anyway. We even got to stop off at pretty Tirta Gangga on the way… Another series of springs and waterfalls that local people believe have healing powers.

Somehow amongst all this, we managed to get flights booked for tomorrow to Ambon, our gateway to the Banda Spice Islands and paradise... Off to the coral reefs of our dreams we go!
