Skaill Bay

Skaill Bay was utterly deserted today; and utterly freezing.  Very few folk were going about generally.  We took out the Seniors for a meal.  My mother had a bottle of Corncrake Ale and CMC’s mother opened with a double port.  They then spent the journey home arguing the merits of sherry v port v Madeira.   The stove’s now going again and I’m about to start ‘A Tale of Two Cities’.  CMC and her Mum have gone to visit relatives in Kirkwall.  I think the trial separation will allow the Seniors time to dry out for a while.
