Surprise!

We drove back to Boston today, where we plan to spend the next week or so bringing in the New Year with an assortment of children and grandchildren.

When we came through the door of our apartment, there was a package waiting for me.  A surprise (belated) Christmas gift from the amazing Mr. W!  I have been ogling this watch for ages ... something I think is very handsome, but ridiculously  expensive ... little did I know a certain "elf" had been quietly ordering away on the internet!!!  I am a very lucky, very spoiled girl.

On a separate note, today would have been my mother's 86th birthday ...
