Ashford International Station

Here is today's photograph of Ashford International Station. The Eurostar and HST1 (High Speed Train1) depart from this section of Ashford Station.

Unfortunately after the high speed line was built with the addition of Stratford ( think Olympics 2012) and Ebbsfleet ( made up name ) stations the number of trains from Paris, Lille and Brussels were slashed so the station is under used.

There is talk of the German rail operator introducing services via the Channel Tunnel so may see more use in the future.

The Paris trains are popular with business men, less hassle than airports. Some of the trains run directly to Disneyland Paris while during the season there are weekend Ski Specials going over night to major resorts.
