CHRISTMAS DAY

This year we went to help out at the hospice again. Last year I was quiete apprehensive but this year I was looking forward to it. Unfortunately O was working this year ( no sympathy required he had a room in The Shard for the night over looking the Thames!!) and Mum was too unwell, but Grandan joined us. He was very worried about it as it was only 2 years ago to the day that he was here caring for The Revs Mum....but besides a few tears he was great.
We set up the tables, took orders and served the food....when it was our time we went to get our dinner to have it in the staff room, but instead a table was set for us and several of the relatives we had given some TLC to insisted on serving us....it was so kind. The Rev, Dan and myself then enjoyed a meal with 15 strangers and it was thoroughly enjoyable.
Afterwards I put together a picnic (whilst The Rev and Grandan popped over to the allotment) and then we headed up to Mums for a few hours....a quick game of Jenga added to the "cheer you up" picnic....as you can see it was all too much for someone! (Last photo)
