Slipping Quietly

This saltwater croc slipped quietly into the murky greens, but kept an eye on what was going on.  This one is four and half metres long and is in captivity at the Billabong Sanctuary near Townsville.....nick named Snappy Tom.

We went early to beat the heat (a sick joke) - this place is magnificent, we have been before but it never fails to impress me.  So many pictures of many things, including holding snakes, tiny crocodile, blue tongued lizards....but I went for this one as rather liked the feel it gives.

After four hours there and in the mid thirty temperatures we were fading fast. Amazing what a swim does.  But now I'm due for another one.

We are all going out to a Brazilian BBQ Restaurant for an early dinner, then Doug and I are bring the grandies home and the other four are off to the Casino.
