Hydrangea

It's a bit more experimentation this evening. Some dried hydrangea heads from last year have been blowing around the garden. I don't know were they came from, or where they have been overwintering, as we don't have hydrangeas.

However I thought it might be a suitable subject to try the LED ring light I got at the same time as my macro conversion lens. It was much easier to practice on the dining table than it was to stand in a windy garden as I did a couple of days ago.

One thing I realised was that my first attempt Spanish bluebell wasn't really a macro shot at all! I could have got the same magnification with a regular lens, although with a different perspective.
